以前・・・といっても既に7〜8年ぐらい前までやっていたHPがあったんだけど、そこではメインのコンテンツとして自作のMIDIをアップしていた。
自作と言っても、オリジナルは数曲で、殆どは好きなアーティストの曲だったんだけど。
今は著作権について煩いので、昔よりHPで使われる事が少なくなったけど、その頃はHPでも良く使われていた。
MIDIってのは、いわゆる打ち込みの音楽。
身近な例でいうと、通信カラオケの楽曲。
MIDIがやりたくてMacを使い始めたし、今も時間があれば復活させたいとか思っている。
で、その頃作っていたMIDIデータは今使っているMacにも残っているんだけど、それを久々に聴いてみた。
MIDIってのは楽器、音程、発音タイミング、音の長さ、強さ等のデータの集まりなので、実際の「音」データは持っていない。
ハードウェア音源か、ソフトウェア音源の音色を使って音を鳴らす。
なので、同じデータを鳴らしても音源によって印象が変わってしまう。
俺の場合、作成時にはローランドのSC-8000シリーズを使っていたんだけど、HPでは誰がどんな環境で聴くのかは分からない。
一応QuickTimeでも確認はしていたけど。
で、話を戻して、久々に聴いてみた。
Logic Express というソフトでMIDIデータを開いて、楽器はLogicが持っている音色を選んで・・・
う〜ん、今のリアルな音色環境だと、音源でごまかしていたヘタクソさが目立つ(^^;;
でもこんな音で鳴るんだって思うと、また作りたいなって思う。
素人がMac1台でそこそこの品質の物を作れてしまうんだから。
別に楽器が出来なくても作れるし、小室哲哉がそうだったように、楽譜が読めなくても作れます（笑
もちろん楽器ができたり、楽譜が読めれば有利だけどね。
実際に楽器やるよりは、ハードルが低いと思うんだ。
実際俺も楽器なんてギターとベースを少しやるだけで、楽譜だって時間かけて解読しながら読むレベルだし。
あぁー、書いていたらまた作りたくなってきた。
